Overall was good, foods were fresh. The issue was they should improve their ventilation system. All my clothes and hair got smoke smell after hotpot. 90 minutes all you can eat was too short if you’re a large group of people.
Our visit to Seapot was delightful. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff. We added our names to the waitlist, but to our surprise, we were promptly seated. Visiting on a Wednesday night, we lucked out as it wasn't too crowded.
We decided to try both the hot pot and the Korean barbecue grill, and my favorite part of the entire experience was the impressive conveyor belt. They offered an extensive selection of dishes, including various proteins, vegetables, and carbs, catering to a wide range of preferences. Whether you're with family, friends, on a date, or dining with children, this place has something for everyone.
We indulged ourselves and were pleased with the very reasonable all-you-can-eat menu prices. Parking was a breeze, with ample lot and street parking available. While we haven't explored their other locations, we thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially the slightly upscale ambiance compared to most all-you-can-eat places. We will definitely return for another visit soon.
Decent service, good meat quality, ok price point.
Had a bit of a rough start. Waited around 30 minutes just to get our pots. But the service improved afterwards, with our server proactively checking in for meat orders every so often.
The meat is pretty good, and the conveyor for sides is a pretty neat concept.
Decent for the price, gets pretty busy though, so come early or try to get a reservation with 6+ people.
First time here and it was a great experience. Arrived before doors opened on a Sunday and there was a line already. It was just for the two of us so we were seated right away. Reservations are taken for large parties. Love the sushi boat set up for hot pot. Meats are ordered through server. All other items are available on the conveyer belt. Note: there is more parking behind the building. With being a Sunday, the 90 minute time limit was strictly enforced. There are no free refills on sodas. The only dessert option are ice cream macaroons which cost extra.
Skip the chicken. Garlic shrimp was overly salty but still tasty. Many of the conveyor belt items were still frozen but the greens were fresh. Galbi beef short ribs were very fatty but still tasty. Also recommend the beef chuck flap. Service was friendly and prompt. Weekend lunch is still dinner price so go for it! Atmosphere was modern yet comfortable.
I had lunch at this restaurant a few weeks ago in San Mateo. Since I work in Sunnyvale took a friend to try this place, the foods are the same but the price was higher. The place is much nicer than the San Mateo one. More modern looking.
Last week my daughter wanted to try so I took the whole family here for dinner. My family liked the place but everyone agreed that the broths weren’t as good as Haidilao although the meats are good. The spicy broth my daughter and my wife didn’t like so much, the tomato broth my son got wasn’t anything close to Haidilao. The service here was extremely excellent, the server was attentive and the foods came out quite fast. So, they also offer the grill, but we decided if we want grilled food we should go to GEN instead. My son missed the appetizer fried chicken at Shabuya, but the potbelly here was tender and rich. Everyone had his or her own meats which was nice. The sauce bar was crowded as usual. My daughter liked potato salad here, amazing.
There are plenty of seafood on the conveyor belt running non stop. Veggies for everyone. Quail eggs my kids like. I had some crabs which was good.
At the end of the day, all hot pot style restaurants, the broths are important. Nothing here or Shabuya beat the broth at Haidilao. Not sure if my kids want to come here again.
$24 for lunch and $33 for dinner are good prices for hot pot per person but we would go to where the broths are better. The broths here aren’t bad but Haidilao are tastier.
Waiting for Seapot to sponsor me soon because I absolutely love coming here! LOL! Who wouldn’t wanna eat AYCE hotpot and kbbq?! The meats are always fresh and the conveyor belt items are always abundant. I’ve tried all of the broths and they’re all good. My favorite broth is the Thai tomyum. I personally prefer the option of grabbing the items yourself versus ordering through a server or tablet resulting in some or most items never being brought out. While it is true that service can be hit or miss, it’s understandable considering how packed it gets in there and I’ve personally witnessed many patrons acting like super entitled Karens. The wait can also be very long so always remember to add yourself to their Yelp waitlist before heading there!
Solid 3.5 Stars. The atmosphere and music adds to the dining experience. Food was good. Plenty of options. Hot Pot was fun and fulfilling. Sauce/Salad bar was a bit messy, but I can totally understand the upkeep in that area must be tedious. Otherwise, they have a nice bar and friendly staff.
